Re: Demo Tapes and Singles

All of you probably know and have the Toxicity/STA! sessions outtakes, right? The ones with Forever and Cherry and all the demos that were later officially released by the band.
But what sucks is that most people have a shitty quality version and don't even know there's a higher quality version floating around. I've decided to collect all the higher quality tracks and make it into a bootleg album. I've probably posted it some time ago, but here it is again, in case someone missed out.

All tracks here are demos, here's the tracklist.
1. (02:13) Everytime
2. (03:36) Streamline
3. (01:53) Cherry
4. (02:22) Census
5. (03:19) American Dream
6. (04:11) Side of the Freeway
7. (02:10) On My Mind
8. (03:17) Want Me to Try
9. (02:55) KITT
10. (02:01) Chupa Cabra
11. (02:26) Chic 'N' Stu
12. (02:20) Forever
13. (00:50) 36
14. (02:24) Defy You
15. (02:32) Census (rougher version)
16. (02:33) Innervision

Question: It's "Defied You" or "Defy You"??

No one really knows for sure, but I prefer Defy You.

Well there's a 192kbps version floating around (the more public one is sourced from a 96kbps file), but that's not really a huge improvement because the original rip is not the best.

There is a correct version and an un correct version right? (One has a slight jump I think in the audio during the second bridge between verse and chorus.)

Indeed. The one with the skip is the 96kbps-sourced one.

I have both then, probably the 192k one from you.

I just realised, we don't have an Ego Brain or Roulette demo from the same period. I assume apart from some final mastering the version of Roulette on record is practically the same as the "demo" one from this collection would have been. Which brings me onto the 1995 rumoured Roulette Full Band version. One day we'll find out the truth in that.

I think that Roulette Demo '95 exist.

I know one of those who are here have it, or so he said ..., but I'm not a judge

there is a short clip but nobody has been able to determine if it's real or fake (i think it is real but sounds more like serj of 2000s than 1995). maybe if we message shavo on twitter/facebook he'd respond?
