It was a beautiful day in Pacific Junction Iowa for the first show of the first ever Knotfest.
Serj Tankian and the FCC were slated for the 2nd act on the main stage, from 5:25 to 6:15. They didn't disappoint.
I'm WAY the hell too tired to write a proper review, but the rowdy crowd seemed to appreciate them, despite the fact that most of them hadn't heard anything from Harakiri, had a bit of familiarity with Empty Walls, probably, and were really wishing that System would magically appear.
I somehow managed to get my middle-aged body to second row just behind the barrier. I'm still sore from headbanging at System in Chicago 2 days earlier, but I needed this & people were pretty cool. There was a bit of crowd surfing & shoving & moshing but I'm still alive.

Setlist:
The Unthinking Majority
Beethoven's Cunt (insert heart here)
Uneducated Democracy (first live performance if I'm not mistaken)
Butterfly
Sky is Over
Honking Antelope
Figure It Out
Cornucopia
Feed Us
Harakiri
Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition
Empty Walls.
Oh, and Serj joined Deftones near the end of their set. Not sure what song it was (not Mein) but they sang bits of Suite Pee in it.
