I hear "See-saw tsunamis ???? what's the matter?"

EDIT: Someone on YouTube by the name of thebreadbinman deciphered the last line

it is: Seas and tsunamis give and take, what's the matter?

It doesn't sound like anything he has done before, and the song keeps moving and changing all the time, I really like it

I just listened to it and on first listen I really liked it. I liked Figure It Out as well so I'm really looking forward to the new album.

This is maybe the best song he's done since Empty Walls and Unthinking Majority. Though the two new songs have a similar start to an album.

Musically the song is decent and at times the IDEA of the vocal rhythm and melody are pleasant, but once again Serj ruins his own work by his singing and lyrics. I felt it was slightly more in the vain of Fair to Midland who he has worked with before. Like I said musically it works and is enjoyable.
He should work as a composer with other people in future as he needs boundaries and needs people to pull him back at times I think. He tries to sound intelligent but ends up spouting awkwardly phrased lyrics that are made up of things he has read on Word of the Day toilet paper.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG! I'm already obsessed with it. :D  Keep up the great job Serj! I'll be anxiously waiting for Harakiri.

When I first listened to this, it didn't really sound like Serj to me. I am not sure whether I am a big fan of the constant changing throughout the song yet, but it may grow on me. Interesting to see how different this song was from Figure It Out. Makes me a bit more eager to see what the album will be like.

The whole song is simply amazing! Like someone said before, I love the way it changes rhythm and how it constantly goes back to the beginning of the song (the beautiful ‘I loved you in the sunshine’). The part that goes ‘do you believe in stormy weather’ reminds me so much of The Beatles it’s impressive. Serj always manages to surprise me! :D
If the rest of Harakiri is half as good as Cornucopia or Figure It Out, I would be fucking delighted! I really hope I could see him play this time.

Cornucopia was definitely a big leap. I think it's better than Figure It Out. That song is just all over the place. It's not my favourite Serj song (Unthinking Majority is his best for sure.) but it'll be up there. It's kind of cool that he respects this kind of music though and mixes it with his own style.

I really couldn't get into Imperfect Harmonies. That album represented a side of Serj I respect but just has absolutely no appeal to me and it hurts to say that. Instrumentally it's wonderful. In fact, I'd rather listen to the instrumentals. The rest of it is just... silly at some points. I feel like this album might take some of that away and I can take him a bit more seriously again.

Serj's work right now is at a busy spot. Some of the songs he's had for a awhile but otherwise he's in the middle of like four albums and a reunion tour. It's going to have an effect on him for sure. The thing about his work is you can tell (especially on Elect the Dead) when some songs are from a SOAD era so this era of writing should be no different.

Between Serj and Scars it always boils down to missing something or wanting more. It's like you're eating cereal without the milk.
