Enemies of Promise

Postby Silph Co. » April 28th, 2011, 3:21 am

Well I was pretty surprised to not see any other topics about some amateur bands... Since this "Whore Street" I think I'll do a little whoring of my own.
Our band is called Enemies of Promise, we're from South Phoenix, AZ. I cannot even describe how big of an influence SoaD has been for us. Unfortunately we're from a small H.S. here so no one really gives a shit about our music(yet hehe)... feel free to check it out. Here's 2 songs

"The Human Channel"

The quality is pretty good for a laptop, but the vocals aren't that great. The singer seems like he doesn't kow what he's doing and it sounds like he's drugged or something xD Still not bad, pretty good actually.

^ I would agree here, the first song especially. The second song the vocals seem more confined and coordinated though.

I like the songs. But i think that the guitar riffs in 'the human channel' are a little to close to BYOB. I really like it though.

He was drunk lol... cheap wine, makes a vocals session feel real classy

This is cool. Has some SOAD influence but also reminds me of some 90's emotive hardcore bands. Also kind of garagey. Definitely make a CD or somethin and post it on here. I'd like to hear it all. You might like these guys.. http://notok.bandcamp.com/album/s-t

My projects are in my signature.. My first band Weirdonia is DIY garage and has some SOAD influence. Other one, Aurelia, is a bit cleaner sounding punk metal stuff. My third one is my solo project where I just upload whatever shit I make. Mostly electronic and folk punk.
